My All-Time Favourite Drugstore Products

I love shopping in the drugstore, there are so many amazing products to choose from that work great, but are still affordable. I picked my favourite item from each makeup category to create this drugstore all time favourites post for you guys!

This is a beautiful, natural-looking gel foundation that has a buildable light to medium coverage and leaves a healthy looking semi-matte finish. One of the many reasons I love this so much is that the colour I use (51 Light Vanille) is perfect for my skin tone (which is between NC15-NC20 ) and I don't have to mix different shades to match my colouring. Oh, and it smells lovely.
L'Oréal True Match La Touche Magique
Great highlighting concealer that has a good coverage, and is the right yellowy shade for my pale skin. I use it under my eyes, and also in a highlighting way down my nose, on the cupid's bow and under my brows.
Maybelline Fit Me Powder
While I truly love my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light Plus, somehow I only get compliments on my skin when I wear this powder. I like to press the powder into my skin with a powder puff and then go over with a buffing brush to get rid of the excess. While the MAC one can look too much sometimes with this technique, this Maybelline powder always stays natural and looks like skin. It is a good colour (120 Classic Ivory)  match and I find that it's really good with oil-control as well.
Bronzer & Highlighter
NYX Bronzing Powder in Sunny
As you can see from the size of the pan showing, this is a very well loved product in my collection. It's the perfect matt, bronzy shade for us pale girls. It doesn't make us look fake and orange, but gives a healthy looking skin.
Sleek Makeup Face Form in Light
Although they stock some great, affordable products, Sleek seems to be a very overlooked brand. Their eyeshadow palettes are beautiful, but my favourite item in their line has to be this 3-in-1 cheek palette which has 3 generously sized powders, a bronzer/contour, a highlighter and a shimmery pink blush. While all three are beautiful, and this set is great for saving space while travelling, my favourites definitely have to be the contouring and highlighting shade. The brown shade is a matte so it is perfect as a contour, not orange or muddy. The highlighter is a pretty champagne shade, reminds me of the Mary Lou-Manizer with less pigmentation. All the shades are easily blendable and they work beautifully together.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush
These baked blushes took the beauty world by storm around 1-1,5 years ago. I feel like everyone talked about how nice these blushes were. Some say that they are similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Blushes, what unfortunately I can't verify. I always wanted to try those but I could never spend that much on a blush however nice it might be. I ended up getting three shades, Lovely Pink, Nude Mauve and Seductive Pink and I'm really happy with these choices. These blushes are nicely pigmented, great everyday shades that leave a beautiful sheen on the cheeks.

Not that readily available in the UK (but can be ordered online) are my other greatly loved, very affordable baked blushes from Milani.
My favourite products ever were two limited edition MAC Mineralise Skinfinishes, one in Blonde(soft rose) and the other in Redhead(golden salmon pink). Both of them broke into the tiniest pieces but I still have them in Hungary. Unfortunately, it's impossible to travel with them but I think about them a lot...:D
So my point is that ever since I had those, I look for the same effect that those blushes gave me and my cheeks. These Milani Baked Blushes came pretty close...
I own two shades, the golden pinky Dolce Pink, and the peachy Luminoso.  I love how they have great colour payoff and also give a lovely shimmery sheen on the cheeks, they are so pretty!
Cream Blush
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink
I love blush because as a pale girl I look dead without it and I felt like this product deserved a mention when it comes to drugstore favourites. This is my third little pot over the years and I still can't get enough this product.
It's a beautiful product but I rarely use it alone. I like to have this as a base to my powder blushes while layering ahead of a long day. Using this method, even if your powder fades, this pretty pink shade will show through and lift up your face.
Brow product
Soap&Glory Archery
As the thick eyebrow trend is still going strong and drugstore brands come out with newer and newer brow products lately, this was the first that I found that truly ticked all the boxes for me. The small precise pencil makes it so easy to fake those eyebrow hairs, and you don't end up with obviously filled in brows. It has a really great spoolie on the other end to brush out the hairs, and the Blondeshell shade is a perfect colour match for me. I think I'll stay loyal to this one.
This is a bit of a cheating on my side cause I don't use drugstore eyeshadows, but these long-lasting cream shadows need to be mentioned here, and basically in all drugstore favourites. They are great as bases, or on their own, some have a metallic sheen the others are matt, so everyone finds one for their own preference. They stay on all day without creasing, smudging or moving around on the lids. My many-many times repurchased favourite is the On and On Bronze (far left) shade.
L'Oréal Superliner Superstar
I'm far from being a winged liner pro, but with this felt-tip liner I manage to put a decent cat-eye on in under 3 minutes.:D The nib is flexible and it's easy to create thin or thick lines with it. The line it creates is a super black shade, that has a bit of sheen and stays on all day without smudging.
This category was a hard one because there are tonnes of great mascaras in the drugstore. This is one category that you definitely don't need to spend loads of money on to find a good one that suits your needs. My favourite one is this volumizing mascara from L'Oréal. I like the thicker formula and the size and structure of the brush. It helps me achieve long and thick false lash-like lashes.

No.7 Precision Lip Pencil in Nude
This is a light browny pink shade that creates a perfect base for my lip choices. Sometimes I use it alone with a little bit of lip balm over it, but it I can pair it with most pinks, nudes and can even make it work with reds.
I look like a ghost without any lip product on, but I like to feel comfortable and not worry about having a bright lipstick smirred all over my face. I love great everyday shades that I can put on without a mirror but still accentuate my features. I simply couldn't choose a sole favourite from these two, I have to mention both of them.
Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive
A beautiful no-fuss sheer pink-nude lipstick that goes with any makeup look, this is that typical my lips but better colour. A plus is that the lid comes with a small built-in mirror for checking your teeth after eating and applying lipstick, or whatever you need a mini mirror for...
A more browny pink shade, that leaves a nice shine on the lips, it's comfortable to wear and again, looks great with everything. These gloss sticks have a lovely vanilla scent and are also have a hydrating formula.
Nail Polish
Oh, these polishes are simply great! Since I'm in saving mode and not getting Shellac, I have started to use my nail polishes more. Let's see the positive side of being broke, huh?!:D These ones from Maybelline are easy to put on, are opaque in two coats and truly stay on for the promised 7 days. And they come in beautiful wearable colours.

I use these brushes and the Miracle Complexion Sponge every single day while applying my makeup.
They are a great value for money, last a long time, easy to clean and work just as nice as my more expensive brushes. My only problem is that some of their best brushes are only available in their sets.
My two favourites are the Expert Face Brush and the Buffing Brush.

Well, this became a rather lengthy post, but I didn't want to leave out any of my faves.

What are your favourite drugstore makeup products?
