5 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Spring

As soon as Christmas is over, I'm basically ready for spring. It's my favourite season for so many reasons but today I share 5 things I'm really looking forward to this spring!

1. Warmer Weather
Temperatures rising, trees and flowers blooming, birds chirping, spring really is the most beautiful time of the year! I'm not a massive fan of super hot weather, because I hate the combination of sweating and a full face of makeup, but temperatures between 20°C and 30°C are the most ideal for me.
My favourite time of the year is when you can go out in jeans, a T-shirt and ballet flats or sandals. In London you can never be sure when you gonna be caught in rain so it's always good to have a cardigan or blazer with you.
I love how the parks fill with people lying on the grass during lunch break, the city is buzzing with locals and visiting tourists, the rooftop bars and terrace places become livelier with the warmer weather. It just seems like the city is more alive when the Sun comes out and I love that!

 2.  Better Mood
Tied together with the first point, as soon as the Sun comes out, my mood is instantly lifted. I love walking, and doing it in beautiful sunny weather fills you up with positivity!
Might be just me but during winter because it gets dark so early, I feel like the day is over at 4pm. In spring and summer days feel longer, I'm way more productive and get more things done, feel a lot more energised and don't want to go to sleep at 8pm.

3. My Birthday
Such a selfish point, but an other reason I love spring is because I have my birthday on the 30th of April. Somehow it happened that the ''children'' (my two cousins, my brother and me) in our family all have our birthdays in April, so I always associated this month with family dinners, gifts and lots of cake...
Since I moved to London though I have spent my birthdays with friends or my boyfriend, either way it's always a very special day filled with eating and drinking! My favourite things...:)

4. Visiting Budapest
I have a mini holiday planned in May to go back to my hometown, Budapest. It will be a 6 day long holiday only, but I can't wait to see my family and friends! While I truly enjoy living in London, having my family and many of my friends still living in Hungary, it's inevitable to get a little homesick sometimes.
Budapest is beautiful during spring and I expect pretty warm, summery weather in May, so I will pack all my summer clothes I wouldn't be able to wear in London.
I miss having a furry fluffy friend here in London, so being home is special in this sense too. Can't wait to give a little tummy rub and snuggle to this kittycat!:)

5. My Best Friend's Wedding
The purpose of flying home in the first place is the wedding of one of my best friends from high school that I wouldn't miss. This will be the first wedding in my close friends' circle so you can imagine how very excited I am about this event.
Four of us remained really good friends even after school, so it will be great to see her taking this big step in life. It will be an enchanting country wedding and she will make the most beautiful angelic bride!
I'm looking forward spending a magical day with my best friends, watching one of us getting married to the love of her life! :)

So these are my top 5 things I'm looking forward to in the upcoming months. What are your favourite things about springtime?
